  Islamabad: The Charge’d Affairs; Mr. Rafail Baghirov of the Azerbaijan to Algiers paid a courtesy call to Atta ul Munim Shahid, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Algiers at his office today. Both discussed bilateral relations and agreed to continue interact with each other for mutual benefit of brotherly countries. The diplomatic relations between two countries based on friendship and brotherhood is developing day by day, the ambassador said. Ambassador Shahid appreciated Azerbaijan steadfast support to Pakistan on India Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). It is to mention that Azerbaijan is a member of OIC contact group on Jammu and Kashmir. Still, there is room to develop trade ties between two countries, he added. Mr. Rafail Baghirov thanked Pakistan support to Azerbaijan during the war against Armenia in 2020. Both diplomats agreed to enhance people to people contact between two brotherly countries.   Amb Ata-ul-Munim Shahid hoisting flag  Algiers:   Pakistan’s 75 th Independence Day was celebrated in the Embassy of Pakistan Algiers, in a befitting manner. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and special circumstances, guests were restricted and SOPs were followed. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and followed by the national anthem. The event was held in a simple but dignified flag hoisting ceremony was held at Chancery. The ambassador Ata-ul-Munim Shahid hoisted the flag. The message of the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and the Prime Minister Imran Khan were read out by the ambassador. He highlighted the significance of this day and recalled the unforgettable struggle and sacrifices made by our forefathers to achieve independence. Atta Munim Shahid   الجیریا میں تعینات پاکستان کے سفیر عطا منیم شاہد نے الجیریا میں آگ لگنے کے مختلف واقعات پر افسوس کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ دکھ کی اس گھڑی میں پاکستان الجیریا کے ساتھ کھڑا ہے۔ شمالی افریقہ کے ملک الجیریا میں آگ لگنے کے مختلف واقعات میں   25 فوجی اور 17 شہری ہلاک ہوگئے۔ پاکستانی سفیر نے غمزدہ خاندانوں کے ساتھ اظہار کرتے ہوئے دعا کی کہ اللہ تعالی مرنے والے کو جوار رحمت میں جگہ عطا فرمائے اور لواحقین کو صبروجمیل عطاکرے۔ انہوں نے الجیریا کے صدر ٹیبون Tebboune ، الجیریا کے شہریوں اور آگ سے شہید ہونے والے فوجیوں کے خاندان سے تعزیت کا اظہار کیا ۔ واضع رہے کہ الجیریا کے جنگلات میں بھڑکنے والی آگ نے زیتون کے درختوں ، مویشیوں اور مرغیوں کو لپیٹ میں لے لیا جو پہاڑی خطے ”کابائل“ میں آباد خاندانوں کے گزربسر کا ذریعہ ہیں۔ کابائل میں آتشزدگی کے واقعات میںکم وبیش گیارہ افراد ہلاک ہوئے اور متعدد مقامات پر آگ زیادہ درجہ حرارت اور تیز ہوا کے باعث پھیلی۔
