Pak stands firm with Kashmirs, says Ata-ul-Munim Shahid

The Ambassador Ata-ul-Munim Shahid has said that Pakistan stands firmly with Kashmirs and will support the cause.

Embassy of Pakistan, Algeria organised a Webinar titled “Solidarity with the People of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir” on Youm-e-Istehsal at the Mission.

The participants condemned the Indian atrocities and human right violations in Jammu & Kashmir and expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). They urged upon India to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of United Nations Security Council.

The Ambassador Ata-ul-Munim Shahid also addressed Webinar and highlighted the significance of this day. He said that decision by the extremist BJP government to change the internationally recognised disputed status of IIOJK is in violation of UNSC Resolutions, has defied Kashmiris’ aspirations, and has planted the seeds for greater resistance in IIOJK. He said that the struggle in Kashmir is indigenous and enjoys popular support against an illegal and brutal military occupation. He also condemned the military siege, which India has imposed to suppress to voice of Kashmiris against Indian illegal action of 5th August for the last two years.

Ambassador further assured the viewers and participants that Pakistan’s government and its people remain fully committed to the Kashmir cause. Pakistan will always remain the voice of conscience in the world for the rights of its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

          The messages of President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on this occasion were also widely circulated through social media.

The Algerian journalists Mr. Tahar Sehailia, Mr. Alaa Eddine Achour, Professor Roqaia, Ms. Nadjla Lamri, Student Representative and Mr. Shafiq Anjum, a Pakistani businessman participated in the seminar.
