Hungary contributed in PM billion tree programme
Islamabad: The ambassador of Hungary Mr. Bela Fazekas planted Hungarian bred saplings in the Fatima Jinnah Park F-9 in Islamabad contributing in Pakistan goal of planting 10 billion trees programme.
The ambassador said that by
planting new trees we are not only contributing in Prime Minister 10 billion
trees initiative but also can draw attention to the importance of the international
cooperation in tackling the challenges posed by the climate change. While
planting Hungarian bred sapling (Turbo Obelisk es Express Willow), the
ambassador, Bela Fazekas emphasized the dangers of the deforestation and
importance of preserving Pakistan’s natural treasures. He stressed that these
trees also represent a commitment for a long-term cooperation between the two
countries, as the growth of tree is a process that spans generations.

Mrs. Mehnaz Akber Aziz, Convener of the Hungarian-Pakistani Parliamentary
Friendship Group, thanked the ambassador of his initiative. She highly admired
yearly higher education scholarships offered by Hungary. It is true example of
the long-term bilateral cooperation between two countries.
It
is worth mentioning that the Hungary annually offer 200 higher education
scholarships to Pakistan.
